Teeth whitening at our Salisbury practice can be done in different ways:
1) For fast results, the 'In-Surgery' bleaching procedure can make the teeth lighter in 90 minutes of actual treatment time.
2) Another method is the 'In Home' whitening in which whitening trays and the materials are given to patients to be used at homes.
3) Yet another method combines ‘Home whitening ‘with ‘office whitening’ which in our opinion gives the best and long term results. This method is used in the Enlighten system.

THE ENLIGHTEN PROCESS
1st VISIT - Impressions are made to fabricate a bespoke upper and lower whitening flexible and soft trays in accredited labs. Tooth serum is given to be used for 1-2 weeks before starting the whitening process.
2nd VISIT - The Enlighten kit consisting of the whitening trays and special gels are given. The 2 tubes of the special whitening gel has to be used in the trays overnight for 2 weeks. You will be able to notice the difference within 2-3 days.
3rd VISIT - After 2 weeks you will attend the dental practice for 1 hour in-office whitening treatment. Please carry your whitening trays with you for this appointment. In–office whitening is done with a different gel in the trays for 1 hour. Once completed you can see your stunning white new smile!
After treatment
There are no known long term disadvantages of whitening. A common minor disadvantage is Sensitivity of the teeth but it is usually temporary and resolves after the whitening procedure is completed.
